I started Drag racing in 1987 after a high speed chase with the Police ended up crashed on the road with a smashed bike and a bruised body.  The Police advised me to take the racing to the track.  The rest is history.

1988 Raced all season with my 1972 Sportster 1000, as a standard bike 14 - 15 seconds was the norm.  Over the next 2 years we 'suped' up the Sportster.

1989 / 90 The Sportster's best times were 11.89 at 120 mph with a lot of success.  It was time for the big leg Drag bike.

1991 / 92  Twin engine Harley 2000 cc with five speed Jap box.  Redesigned clutch with  6 heavy duty springs and operated with hydraulics.  Ignition twin plug heads, own twin points ignition, S&S carburettors,  lightened crank's, forged pistons, polished shot-peened rods, stainless  valves Manly springs & Titanium keepers.

Problems the performance was hindered by battery not being big enough, but mainly because the primary chain exploded all the time.  Best effort was 12.00 at 110mph.  Very heavy bike.

1993 - 94 Cut up twin engine made 2 bikes sold 1 kept 1.  Best times12.00 106mph  consistently 12 flat.

1995 - 97  Experimented  with cams, body work, chassis and engine  combination  but lack of money reduced progress and horse power  meant  we raced for fun.

1997 - 2000 Super charged Harley,  The fun begins with new parts  cams, rods, cranks, valves and springs retainers, carbs. and new chassis.  A series of engine  explosions barrels  primary chains and heads breaking in half,  cast iron does not like to flex  it shatters.  Never did a full run under power.  Best run 12.07 motor quit at 60 foot mark.  Went thru 2 super chargers 4 motors retired after kidneys gave out  (renal failure) now on dialysis  hoping to be back after kidney transplant..

I have been in the drag racing  game a long time and I was not ready to give it up so I built  2 junior Dragster for my 2 youngest boys  Bobby 12  Dillon 11.

2000  Bobby was 10 yrs old and we had him in a 90cc Honda auto 4 speed.  Best time 16.3 1/8 mile 50 mph.

2001 - 2002  125 Honda 5 speed manual clutch.  Best  time 11.3  1/8 mile    17.2  at  70 mph  1/4 mile.  Big over rev killed the pistons performance after that went down hill.  Ended the season 3rd over all.   Dillon only raced this season he would rather be racing a drag bike but they say he is to young.

2003  Honda VTR 250 carb. problems and crank.  Lost a wheel after Bobby hit the ripple strip in turn off area he was going to fast forgot to slow down to turn.  Got it fixed back out best time  11.9  running like  crap.
