General Discussion & Things of Interest

Hmmmmmmmmmm. Re A/SB, there is no doubt that Dean pushed the rules to their limits. One could argue that in the form that it was raced, it would not have got a Warrant of Fitness (Mandatory under NZ A/SB rules). As the tech inspector of Dean's A/SB bike, I passed the bike as it was (it had a current WOF at time of inspection), in order to get it on the track..we have precious few bikes at any meeting as it is. Remember, I was the one that was the big loser in this decision - had Dean not been allowed to race in A/SB I would have won the NZ Nationals and the Champion Dragway pointscore series, but I would rather see another bike on our tracks.
Finally, I agree with Roger's comments above.....let's poor our energy into joining together to make NZ dragbike racing a better scene, rather than anything else.
Cheers,
Ian Hilder
