Hmmmmmmmmmm. Re A/SB, there is no doubt that Dean pushed the rules to
their limits. One could argue that in the form that it was raced, it
would not have got a Warrant of Fitness (Mandatory under NZ A/SB rules).
As the tech inspector of Dean's A/SB bike, I passed the bike as it was
(it had a current WOF at time of inspection), in order to get it on the
track..we have precious few bikes at any meeting as it is. Remember, I
was the one that was the big loser in this decision - had Dean not been
allowed to race in A/SB I would have won the NZ Nationals and the
Champion Dragway pointscore series, but I would rather see another bike
on our tracks.
Finally, I agree with Roger's comments above.....let's poor our energy
into joining together to make NZ dragbike racing a better scene, rather
than anything else.
