Well, now that winter Solstice is upon us, we can all look forward to summer and the next season starting again, but we should also pay a small tribute to those top racers of last year, who took the accolades for 2007/2008 racing season.

But the serious awards go to those that contested the the NZDRA national series, which involves a full commitment to the sport, and a lot of traveling to different tracks around the country in order to have a chance of accumulating enough points to take the coveted #1 plate at the end of the season. For 2007/2008, the top three place getters were as follows:
MODIFIED BIKE
In third place with 156 points, was Tristan Scalmer
In second place with 288 points, was Alan Thoresen
MODIFIED BIKE WINNER with 515 points, was RICHARD RAMSAY
COMPETITION BIKE
In Third place in Competition Bike, with 318 points, was Ian Wilkins
In second place with 502 points, was Craig Wray
And COMPETITION BIKE WINNER, with 559 points, was Stray Cat Racing's
